We update our situations vacant more or less every day.

4. Will I get confirmation of receipt after submitting my application?

Yes, you will be given confirmation of receipt as soon as we have received and recorded your application.

5. What’s the application procedure?

The Human Resources Management Department screens and examines applications. They are then passed on to the specialist department. HR management and specialist department then decide which applicant to invite for an interview.

7. Would I have the opportunity of spending time abroad?

Generally speaking you would, although this depends on the type of work you do.

It is altogether possible to apply for several positions at one and the same time.

You can apply at different locations at one and the same time.

10. Which papers and documents should be included in my application for a position at Hettich?

An application should include an informative cover letter in relation to the position (unless speculative), a clearly structured curriculum vitae with all contact details as well as important credentials, certificates and references.

11. Will my details be treated in confidence?

Naturally, we will treat your details in confidence.

We are also pleased to receive speculative applications. The best thing is to apply for the Hettich Group. This way, we can pass your application on to several Hettich companies.

14. What sort of time framework must I allow for a speculative application?

Examining a speculative application takes a little longer than it does to examine applications for advertised positions as the application documents must go to several specialist departments.

15. Are the positions I find on your job portal still vacant?

You can assume that the advertised position is still available.

16. Is there a better chance of getting a position if the applicant phones?

As we always endeavour to fill vacancies at short notice you will also receive prompt feedback. So phone calls will not improve your chances.

17. Can I re-apply after a refusal?

If interested, we will be pleased to receive a new application.

You will find the contact addresses of all operations directly in the advertisements or on our website.

19. Can I speak to the specialist departments direct?

If you have been given a direct contact to a specialist department in an interview (e.g. in the form of a business card), you are welcome to get in touch with the specialist department concerned. We want to keep our processes fast and lean.

Students:

20. Which documents do I need to apply for a work placement?

Please let us know the area you are looking for a work placement in and when. Include a CV and important certificates in your application.

21. How short in advance can I apply for a work placement?

Ideally, you should apply at least four weeks in advance.

22. How long does a work placement last?

To structure a work placement effectively, it should last three or six months.

23. What do I need to demonstrate to get a work placement?

It is best to demonstrate curiosity, personal commitment and a high degree of motivation for getting to know Hettich as a company operating on the international stage.

24. Is there any possibility of spending time abroad during a work placement?

Some work placements do offer the possibility of spending time abroad.

25. Can I apply for a work placement followed by the opportunity to write a dissertation or doctoral thesis?

Yes, this option exists.

26. How is a work placement remunerated?

We pay the usual rates for work placements – provided the placement is mandatory.

Several months for operational activities of everyday business or for specific project work.

30. What sort of remuneration is paid for working as a trainee student?

We pay the normal rate for hours worked.

31. What do I need to be aware of in terms of health or accident insurance?

We will provide you with social security coverage to the extent required in law.

32. Will Hettich help me find somewhere to live?

We will be pleased to offer advice and provide assistance in finding accommodation.

33. What supervision or support can I expect during my work placement?

We will provide you with a “sponsor” you can turn to at any time during your work placement.
